British Columbia’s Ministry of Education funds a number of unique programs to help meet the educational needs of low-incidence students in BC school districts. The following Provincial Outreach Programs (POPs) provide community-based services for low incidence students in partnership with BC public school districts and Group I and II independent schools.

The Accessible Resource Centre – British Columbia (ARC‑BC) is funded by the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care to meet the increasing need for digital, accessible alternatives to print-based learning materials. ARC‑BC’s mission is to support BC students with perceptual or print disabilities ( and the educators who work with them) by providing high‑quality digital alternate format resources that align with British Columbia’s K–12 curriculum.
