K-12 Staff Wellbeing Network Launches Feb. 3: Message from Mali Bain:
Some BC colleagues are launching a K-12 Staff Wellbeing Network to foster and support action on staff wellbeing in BC schools and districts. There is much good work done in this area, but it is often not shared outside the individual school/district. The network is being started by a group of people who have been working on K-12 school staff wellbeing for several years at the local, provincial and national levels. The group includes Mali Bain, Cindy Andrew, Shirley Giroux, Gail Markin, Charlie Naylor, Milly Ng and Kim Weatherby. You can find their profiles here. More information is also available on the website at www.k12staffwellbeing.ca and in the attached flyer. Read More HERE The first meeting will be Feb. 24 at 3:30 pm. The network hopes to address that by fostering sharing, knowledge exchange and the documenting of practices through:
- A website, K12StaffWellbeing.ca, with curated resources and materials, many from BC;
- A community of practice that will encourage province-wide connections between people interested and engaged in this work; and
- Encouraging those who are working on staff wellbeing to document and share their stories and experience
